Lace Pickups - Actodyne

Jeff Lace of Actodyne was the guy responsible for the design and manufacture of the pickup's used on The Dream stratocaster. Those were I believe custom units that could not be just 'bought off the shelf' any time. That created a problem because one of the pickups had gone low output. I was not surprised bearing in mind the huge amount of pro work this guitar had, it literally had been played extensively.

Jeff has also contributed to reworking the treble pickup back to exactly the original specifications that the original unit was. Jeff Lace, again helped me get the Dream Strat back to the condition it deserved, and simply fitting a different pickup in my opinion was not the way to go. Jeff was so helpful and unquestionably without his help this project would have died out without the fix necessary.

Jeff still had the original specifications at Actodyne and he very kindly agreed to supply a replacement unit to those exact specifications. Jeff has contributed greatly to the overall sound of this instrument and I am absolutely sure that without him this guitar would not be the Dream it is... so PLEASE do go and support someone that actually has time to support his products in an incredible way as Jeff did. Lace sensors suited the guitar very well, and the Lace music company did a really great job... nay others may not have!
